Everything You Need To Know About Our Loans

Am I eligible for a HANDOUT loan?

In order for your online loan application to be considered, you have to be at least 18 years old. You also need to have a regular income from a full time or part time job. This also includes government benefits and pensions. However, keep in mind that we usually don’t let your income come fully from government benefits or pensions.

HANDOUT is built on responsible lending. You will need to show that you can comfortably pay your repayments. We tend to disapprove loan applications if there is any risk of being placed in a financial pickle as a result of borrowing money from HANDOUT.

Are you open 24/7?

Yes! We are 100% online and our fast cash application process is available 24/7/365.

Will you do a credit check?

We are responsible lenders. We lend to people with good credit and bad credit ratings, as we focus on your ability to meet your payments, not your past financial situation. So whilst we do check your credit, it plays a small role in our decision making.

We won’t do it without your express consent, which you provide to us when you apply for a HANDOUT Loan. As part of our credit assessment, we may decide that we need to check your credit history, in which case we will make an enquiry on your credit file.

How long does the process take?

Our state of the art application is super simple and requires only a few minutes. If all goes well, then your loan amount will be in your account within an hour or two. And just so you know, our fastest ever funded application took ONLY 94 seconds.

Can I repay my loan early?

We encourage our users to pay off their HANDOUT loans as soon as possible! The quicker you pay your loan, the less you will be charged in monthly account fees. Paying off your loan before its due date will be a positive mark on any future applications.

What can I use my HANDOUT loan for?

HANDOUT loans can be used for any purpose. The most common uses include paying for car repairs, furniture, wedding expenses, gifts, vacations, medical expenses, utility bills or that amazing show you just can't miss. HANDOUT loans are useful for whenever you need now.

Can I still get a loan with poor credit history or bad credit?

At HANDOUT, we feel all Australians should have the ability to have access to the resources they most need. We take the broader context into perspective when certain other lending institutions only check the credit history of an individual when determining if they are ready to obtain any credit with them.

If you apply for a loan with a direct lender like HANDOUT you should know that we take into account a number of factors when deciding if you will be able to meet your repayments. If you have been turned away for payday loans elsewhere, put your hand out for a HANDOUT loan today!

What is the maximum amount I can borrow?

This all depends on how much you need, your financial history and current financial circumstances.

You can loan between $300-$5,000 (depending upon your ability to repay) using HANDOUT's fast online loans. Rather than paying back the full amount in a single payment, you can repay the balance you borrowed (including the transparent fees) over 2-6 months.

What is the duration of my loan?

HANDOUT provides you with the flexibility to choose the length of your loan.

Loan lengths can vary between 2-6 months.

The shorter the loan, the higher each repayment will be, but less monthly fees will be incurred.

What if I’m unemployed?

Unfortunately, in most cases, unemployed individuals will not be able to borrow from HANDOUT.

In order to comply with our obligations as a responsible lender, you must have an income of at least $300/week – the majority of which can not come from government benefits.

We regularly service individuals with complex employment situations – please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

What if I receive a pension?

HANDOUT often lends to those who receive a pension.

HANDOUT is a responsible lender – as such, you must meet certain qualifications in order to be eligible for one of our great products!

As a pensioner, you must earn at least $300/week – If you solely rely on this income, you are not eligible for a HANDOUT loan.

What fees do you charge?

The costs associated with your loan are governed by responsible lending legislation, and the amount you are borrowing.

For our small loans, we will charge a 20% establishment fee – calculated on your principal. There is also a monthly account fee of 4%.

For our medium loans, we will charge a $400 establishment fee. There is also a monthly interest fee calculated off an annual interest rate of 48%.

Can I have more than one loan?

Users cannot have more than one HANDOUT loan at any given time.

HANDOUT is a responsible lender – having multiple loans may affect your ability to repay your existing loans.

You are welcome to apply for a new loan once you have repaid your current loan, in full.

Can I change my payment plan?

We are open to discussing payment options with you over the phone or by email.

HANDOUT understands that unforeseen circumstances may affect your ability to repay your loan.

Speak to one of your friendly consultants to see what options may be available to you.

In most cases we will need 48 hours notice to change payment dates on your loan account.
